COMPANY BACKGROUND

Triago was founded in 1992, as Europe’s first private equity placement agent. Originally focused on helping European General Partners raise capital in North America, Triago grew in the late 1990s as a cross-border placement agent, supporting GPs in Europe and North America with their fundraising in Europe, North America and the Middle-East. After Paris (1992) and New York (2002), Triago opened an office in Dubai at the end of 2007, where it became the first DIFC-registered independent agent. Our team’s physical presence on these three continents confers a real advantage when coordinating international fundraising efforts.

In 1993, Triago executed its first secondary transaction. As Triago increasingly got involved in helping investors looking to sell existing fund interests, we eventually set up a fully dedicated team in 2004 under the Triago-X banner. Triago-X acts as advisor to potential sellers exclusively, with a focus on maximizing value and execution success.

Today our team offers unique complementary primary and secondary services to fund managers and fund investors worldwide. As a long time established agent, we view our role as a catalyst within the private equity community, supporting GPs and LPs in building long-term relationship and helping investors with their liquidity management matters.
